چکیده
Reusing material products via peer-to-peer (P2P) sharing is one of the circular economy (CE) strategies to fulfil consumer needs with minimised environmental impact and consumption. However, adopting practices challenges both societal normative behaviours as well existing business models businesses. Previous studies grounded on stated answers about values, intentions attitudes users found several factors that impede practice sharing, even though users' were said be satisfied. Nevertheless, few have looked at dilemmas face while engaging in how these inhibit their participation CE solutions. This study addresses discrepancies empirically context P2P product sharing. Using a trust-ownership-need model, we investigated reviews (n=415) from an online platform operating Sweden Norway. The data analysis method qualitative content comments (from lessors or lessees). results reveal experience, i.e., information transparency, pick-up return arrangements, quality, security, user knowledge operate product. We argue missing social presence virtual environment, low competence lessees, lax governance are contributing underlying dilemmas. research concludes for promoting optimising platforms pursue CE's promises.

Information sharing and user behavior in internet-enabled peer-to-peer lending systems: an empirical study
Internet-based information systems (IS) have enabled various forms of collective intelligence, action, and resources (e.g. open source software, innovation marketplaces, crowdsourcing, and crowdfunding). Within the domain of crowdfunding, Internet-enabled Peer-to-Peer Lending Systems (IP2PLS) have emerged as a disruptive technology, with implications for the financial services sector, business ...
متن کاملPeer-to-Peer Product Sharing: Implications for Ownership, Usage and Social Welfare in the Sharing Economy
We describe an equilibrium model of peer-to-peer product sharing, or collaborative consumption, where individuals with varying usage levels make decisions about whether or not to own. Owners are able to generate income from renting their products to non-owners while non-owners are able to access these products through renting on as needed basis. We characterize equilibrium outcomes, including o...

15 صفحه اولAn Empirical Analysis of Network Externalities in Peer-to-Peer Music-Sharing Networks
P (P2P) file sharing networks are an important medium for the distribution of information goods. However, there is little empirical research into the optimal design of these networks under real-world conditions. Early speculation about the behavior of P2P networks has focused on the role that positive network externalities play in improving performance as the network grows. However, negative ne...

Peer-to-peer file sharing networks are becoming an important medium for the distribution of information goods. However, there is little academic research into the optimal design of these networks under real-world conditions. Our research represents an initial effort to analyze the impact of positive and negative network externalities on the optimal size of these P2P networks. Our analysis uses ...
